Prince Philip, the husband of The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh turned 98th on June 10. To celebrate the longest serving consort in British history, the Buckingham Palace, Kensington Palace, Clarence House and the Duke of York's official Twitter account celebrated the occasion by sending birthday wishes to the royal patriarch of his younger days.

The other picture shows a young Prince Philip clad in his aviator uniform as he poses for the camera photographed in 1953, 66 years ago.
