Netflix’s The Crown has finally found their Princess Diana! Netflix confirmed that Grantchester actress Emma Corrin will join Season 4 cast of The Crown as Princess Diana, the Princess of Wales in a tweet adding that filming for the latest season would begin this year.
"I have been glued to the show since the first episode and to think I'm now joining this incredibly talented acting family is just surreal," she said in a release. "Princess Diana was an icon, and her effect on the world remains profound and inspiring. To be given the chance to explore her through Peter Morgan's writing is the most exceptional opportunity, and I will strive to do her justice’’ Corrin shared on her Instagram post confirming the role.

Emma will join a cast of the Emmy Award winner show with the likes of Oscar winner Olivia Colman who replaces Claire Foy as Queen Elizabeth in the third series, to be screened later this year, and Helena Bonham Carter who is to play Princess Margaret.
The Crown" Season 3 is set to launch on Netflix in 2019 and will reportedly cover the 1964-1970 and 1974-1976 terms of Prime Minister Harold Wilson while the fourth season will feature Margaret Thatcher and Lady Diana.Â
