It' no hidden fact that how annoying, painful and irritating ingrown hairs can be. When the hair curls back and grows back into the skin instead of rising up from it, it is termed as an ingrown hair. Women usually get ingrown hair n their legs, armpits, or buttocks. Men, on the other hand, usually face this problem on their neck, chin or cheeks after they've shaved. It is a very common issue and we have come with a few tips that could reduce their growth.
1. Coconut oil:

What you need: Virgin coconut oil (unrefined), tissue
What you have to do: Apply coconut oil directly on the affected area and then wipe it off with a clean tissue after 15-20 minutes. Apply this thrice a day.
2. Apple cider vinegar:

What you need: Apple cider vinegar, cotton ball
What you have to do: Apply the cider vinegar to the affected area with a cotton ball. Rinse the area with plain water after 15-20 minutes. Do this twice or thrice a day.
3. Tea tree oil:

What you need: 2-3 drops tea tree oil, 1 tablespoon olive oil
What you have to do: Mix the oils and apply on the affected area. Massage for a while. Leave it for 10-12 minutes. Rinse with lukewarm water.
4. Aloe Vera:

What you need: Aloe Vera gel
What you have to do: Extract the gel from an aloe leaf and apply it on the affected area. Leave it for half an hour and then rinse with warm water.
5. Salt:

What you need: 2 teaspoons salt, a cup of water and cotton ball
What you have to do: Add the salt to the water and mix it well. Soak the cotton ball in this and rub on the affected area. Let it air dry for a couple of minutes before rinsing it off. Do this twice daily to get rid of ingrown hair.
