Beyoncé is taking the role as Nala very serious and we are all for it. The queen who will be seen in Jon Favreau’s 1994 remake of The Lion King made sure that she is even a queen in real-life as she showed up at the 2019 Wearable Art Gala in Santa Monica, California wearing a golden, embellished feathered outfit inspired by The Lion King.

Attending the annual Wearable Art Gala with her daughter Blue Ivy, Bey wore the most regal, glamorous gown-jumpsuit ever, channelling her inner lioness with the help of a sparkly bodice which was adorned by gold sequins, feather details that gave an impression of a mane and a train of gorgeous taffeta. Co-founded by Beyoncé's mother, Tina Lawson, and her husband, Richard Lawson, Bey certainly did live up to the event which theme was "A Journey to the Pride Lands", a clear inspo from The Lion King.

Talking about Beyoncé in Disney's classic, the first clip of the singer a Nala was dropped by Disney. The 30 second video which was released by Disney shows Beyoncé telling Simba to come home. “Simba, you have to take your place as king,” she says. “We need you. Come home.”

Jon Favreau’s The Lion King which also stars Donald Glover, John Oliver, Eric André and James Earl Jones hits theaters on July 19.
