Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton, who arrived in India in a red printed Alexander McQueen outfit, opted for a long printed tunic by Indian designer Anita Dongre for her day outing.
Kate, 34, known for being a trend-setter, generally prefers British designers including McQueen, Stella McCartney and Erdem.
However, the Royal’s outfits for her visit in the country have a distinct Indian touch with her red McQueen dress featuring paisley themed print, while the tunic that she wore at a charity event at The Oval Maidan here, had Mughal details.
“The Duchess of Cambridge, #KateMiddleton looks elegant in a Mughal inspired tunic by #AnitaDongre #RoyalVisitIndia,” the Mumbai-based designer tweeted along with Kate’s picture in her creation.
Kate teamed her tunic with Mint Velvet wedges in mink colour while keeping the rest of the look simple and summery.
