The Lakme Fashion week is gleaming with glamour and star power. After the likes of Katrina Kaif, Farhan Akhtar, Lisa Haydon, Mrunal Thakur gracing the ramp withe their fashion walks, it was the turn of Bollywood newbies from Tara Sutaria to Rakul Preet Singh to take the show by storm.
Designer Ritu Kumar's signature labour was fronted by Student of the Year 2 actress Tara Sutaria who donned a short black dress with silver embellishments and tassels, paired with a full sleeves embroidered white top with plunging neckline and teamed her attire with thigh-high boots, hair let loose and minimalistic make-up for her maiden walk at Lakme Fashion week.

Happy Bhag Jayegi actor Diana Penty and Mohenjo Daro actor Pooja Hegde also took to the ramp on Friday and were spotted at the venue in traditional lehengas. While Diana looked gorgeous in an ivory lehenga and emerald neckpiece by designer Ridhi Mehra, Pooja was seen in a purple lehenga with heavy embellishments by Jayanti Reddy.
De De Pyaar De actress Rakul Preet Singh walked the ramp for designer Nachiket Barve. The collection, presented by Caprese was titled ‘Passport Princesses’ and was all about millennial fashion. Rakul donned a black jumpsuit with floral motifs and sheer sleeves. She clubbed the ensemble with hoops and we loved the whole 70s style vibe that it created.
The Winter/Festive edition of Lakme Fashion Week 2019 kicked off on 21 August and features a mixed bag of young, upcoming designers and veterans, including Sahib Bhatia, Akanksha Aggarwal, Payal Singhal and Abraham & Thakore.
