Lux Golden Awards 2018 had a theme centred around the much unkempt issue of gender inequality in Bollywood. To extend support to the UN’s #HeForShe movement which stands for equality, the actors from all walks of life joined hands in support of each other.
Celebrities like Shah Rukh Khan, Karan Johar, Akshay Kumar, Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt attended the event all-glammed up for the special day. Veteran actors like Hema Malini, Rekha and Zeenat Aman were also present at the event to show support to the dynamic change in gender equality the younger generations would be proud to follow.
However, among the much glitz and glam event, one colour more prominent than the others was the notable ‘pink’ much like the backdrop of the event at South Mumbai. Kareena Kapoor Khan, Madhuri Dixit, Chitrangda Singh among others were seen rocking the ‘pink’ hue for the ‘most beautiful women of Bollywood’ event.

Kareena Kapoor Khan as always was seen all bold in a baby pink and bright pink Prabal Gurung gown that had waist cutouts with a thigh-high slit. To complement her bare-shoulder gown, the Veere di Wedding actor had her hair in a bun and while keeping her makeup simple with just a light eye-makeup and a nude lipstick.
Bollywood’s dance icon, Madhuri Dixit was also spotted in all pink at the event. The Ram Lakhan wore a full-on pink gown with a huge slit that had a flowy drape at the back by Swapnil Shinde creation. The veteran actor also kept her makeup simple with a retro wavy hairdo, light eye makeup and golden-round earrings.
Exotic-looking beauty, Chitrangda Singh also attended the event of women in a bay pink tulle gown. Her gown had a plunging neckline and a diamond-studded neckline. Unlike Kareena and Madhuri the Desi Boyz actor went for a bolder makeup. She wore a retro red lipstick and a shimmering eye-makeup while her hair was kept au natural.
Alia Bhatt was awarded the Lux Golden Rose Unstoppable Beauty Of The Year. The 25-year-old actor said, “My childhood dream of becoming an actor came true because of a lot of special people, without whom I would not have been unstoppable''.
Rekha was honoured with the title of ‘Legendary Beauty’, who had some words of inspiration for the listeners as she said, “I have always believed that beauty comes from within. Thank you all for loving me and instilling this beauty in me which will live on forever.”

Other stars present at the event were Janhvi Kapoor who wore a gorgeous white lace gown with noodle straps. Alia Bhatt who also won the Lux Golden Rose Unstoppable Beauty Of The Year wore a wear white lace strapless fishtail gown with sequin detailing.
