FBB Femina Miss India Finale 2019: Suman Rao, a 21-year-old girl from Rajasthan, made the nation proud as she won the coveted Miss India 2019 title at a star-studded affair held at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Indoor Stadium in Mumbai last night. The beautiful Rajasthani lass was crowned by outgoing titleholder Anukreethy Vas in a "dreams come true" moment on late Saturday night. Rao will represent India at Miss World 2019 pageant scheduled to take place in Pattaya, Thailand on 7 December 2019.

The Femina Miss India 2019 also witnessed Miss India 2018 first runner up Meenakshi Chaudhary crowning her successor Shreya Shankar from Bihar. Similarly, Shreya Rao Kamavarapu, who was adjudged the second runner-up last year, passed on her legacy to Telangana's Sanjana Vij. Shankar also clinched the title of Miss India United Continents 2019, whereas Shivani Jadhav from Chattisgarh was crowned, Miss Grand India 2019.

A college student, Suman Rao was previously crowned Femina Miss India Rajasthan 2019 in April this year. A total of 30 women from across India were competing for the prestigious Miss India 2019 crown, representing their states.

The finale of FFB Femina Miss India 2019 was judged by Bollywood choreographer Remo D'Souza alongside actress Huma Qureshi, Chitrangada Singh, fashion designer Falguni Shane Peacocka and Indian footballer Sunil Chhetri among others.

Besides, some of the spectacular performances by B-town actors Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal kept the audience hooked on to their television sets throughout the time. Bollywood divas Dia Mirza, Neha Dhupia and Chitrangada Singh also marked their attendance at the pageant.

The 56th edition of Miss India beauty pageant was hosted by director-producer Karan Johar, actor Manish Paul and last but not the least Miss World 2017 winner Manushi Chhillar.
