Manushi Chillar created headlines on Saturday after she won the Miss World 2017 ending India's seventeen year long wait. The lady managed to win the coveted title after competing against 118 contestants from several countries.
Reportedly, Manushi is still finding it hard to believe that her dreams have turned into reality now. While it was a tough competition for the Haryana girl, her winning shot came after she gave a hearfelt answer to one of the questions by the judges,
Manushi was asked, "Which profession in the world deserves the highest salary and why". To this the 21-year-old medical student, replied "My mother has been my biggest inspiration, so I have to say, a mother's job. It is not always about cash, but love and respect as well. A mother deserves that the most."
Well, Manushi's anwser left the judges awe-struck and she went on to bag the coveted crown of Miss World 2017. Interestingly, Priyanka Chopra was the last Indian to win the crown in 2000 and Manushi is the sixth Indian to take up the title.
According to the media reports, Chillar considers Reita Faria as her idol. Reita was the first Indian and Asian to win the Miss World crown in 1966.

Notably, the paegant is often considered to be a stepping point for Bollywood. But Manushi doesn't agree with this.
"I disagree with the notion. I feel that Miss India is a stepping stone for anything you want to do, not just Bollywood," Manushi was quoted as saying.
Manushi was also crowned as this year's Femina Miss India World 2017 after which made it to the Miss World 2017 paegant.
