Rihanna is much more than just a star. She's well known as a trendsetter, a style personality and icon to an up-and-coming generation that is decidedly empowered, feminist and self-made. Working with her stylist Mel Ottenberg, the singer crafts her signature style with a unique mix of street, sexy and chic. Whatever she does, people follow. While she's been in the music industry for years, the starlet has transitioned beautifully to acting and modeling, acting as a cover star for several magazines in recent months.

The 'slay queen' RiRi is here to drop your jaws again with a cover shoot.

Photographed by Deana Lawson, Rihanna, recently, graced the cover of a fashion magazine looking breathtaking and chic at the same time. The combination of vintage pieces and modern-day makeup in the shoot is a total stunner.

The vintage-inspired shoot features the 'diamonds' singer in an array of couture outfits with throwback pieces, including a 1960's French rose bolero top and a yellow American vintage ballroom skirt. Her gothic black pout from Fenty beauty and gold coated bejeweled nails are to die for!

Rihanna is audacious, yes, but above all sexy in this shoot. With curves to die for, the singer does not shy away from baring all. The streetwear universe is the base of her look: colorful, funky and well-referenced. These pictures will leave you glaring at this beauty:

Deana Lawson in conversation with Arthur Jafa: "When I’m going out to make work, usually I’m choosing people that come from a lower- or working-class situation. My choice feels natural because it’s a rejection of the people and forces I grew up around in Rochester. I’m choosing people around the neighborhood: near public transportation, in beauty supply shops, fried-chicken spots, nightclubs, Family Dollar, churches, et cetera. It’s about value. It’s about using a figure or a body to represent something higher than we would normally associate it with." Tap our link in bio for the rest of her conversation with #ArthurJafa on garage.vice.com.
