Sonam Kapoor now Sonam K Ahuja is no new chameleon in the fashion industry. Her taste in fashion sense is known and revered by her fans and celebrities alike. She is bold in her fashion sense and has never shied away from experimenting with them. Her androgynous look while attending JIO MAMI’s Word to Screen market screen, welcome dinner once again gathered everyone’s attention because of her effortlessly, androgynous look.

Fashion designers such as Yves Saint Laurent, Jean-Paul Gaultier are some of the few famous fashion designers to pioneer the androgynous look. Katharine Hepburn famously owned and popularised her androgynous look that hadn’t been done before in mainstream Old Hollywood.

Sonam was among the few ladies who dared to stray far from the typical, sequined dress look, she became an alluring symbol of liberation and independence for women. The androgynous look was back then la movement, a message for gender fluidity.  And, given the fact that Sonam K Ahuja is a fan of the Hepburns make it all the more sense why she chose this androgynous look.
 
The Neerja actor made a bold statement like her famous predecessors while attending the Screen Market. She wore a tawny brown blazer with a darker shade trousers from Y/Project. To compliment her bold androgynous look, she donned a wavy, curls by Alpa Khimani. Her makeup by Arti Nayar and a clutch form Louis Vuitton.

For her accessories she wore a flashy, silver hoops and rings by Rhea Kapoor. She sure did look different and many did not particularly share the same taste as she did. However, all there is to say is that, mixed reviews have never tethered this fashion chameleon from trying something different.
