Cool breeze, dropping temperatures, cold nights - winters have surely arrived. Most of us love winters as it is the perfect time to enjoy the chilly weather sitting in a cosy quilt and sipping warm hot chocolate or have a bonfire.

Besides, one can flaunt a fresh fashion statement with funky jackects, boots and scarves.

However, since everything comes with their own pros and cons, winter too has its side-effects.

The chilly weather often gives a tough time to your skin which tends to get dry and patchy. This is all because of the lack of moisture.

While the dry skin makes one appear dull, it often gets painful as well because when ignored, the dry skin can get worse and turn into cracks.
However, this can be avoided completely.

We have brought some simple skin care tips that can help you ditch the dryness this winter season and get that flawless skin you wanted:

Prefer using lukewarm water: As the winter arrives, many of us prefer bathing with hot water. It is often believed that a hot water water shower makes one get relieved from the stress. On the contrary, hot water often rip of the essential oils from the skin making it appear dry and patchy. So, it is advisable to bathe with lukewarm water.

Moisturization: One of the key reasons for having  dry skin in winters is that sking looses moisture in winters. So one must apply good moisturizing keep to help the skin retain its moisture. Even those who have oily skin must use light moisturising lotions to keep the skin soft.

Don't miss you sunscreen: The best part of winters is enjoying the sun light as it gives the warm, cosy effect. However, not many people are aware of the fact that this exposure to sunlight hasten the ageing process. Hence, it is better to apply a sunscreen lotion atleast 15 minutes before going out in sun.

Overnight moisturisation effect: Our hands, elbows, knees and feet are the are which looses moisture much fater than the rest of the body parts. So in order to keep the moisture intact, especially during night, it is advisable to cover these areas after apply the moisturiser, so it can seal in the moisture until morning.
