A bar made of ice was opened today in northeast China’s Harbin City. The ice bar covers more than 100 square meters in the city’s famous Central Pedestrian Street, popular among tourists.
It was built in 10 days using 200 cubic meters of ice, according to its owner, who spent over 300,000 yuan (USD 45,000) on the bar.
Besides the drinks, bar-goers can enjoy hotpot, barbecue and western food served on counters made of ice, while sitting on ice stools, state-run Xinhua news agency reported.
China is currently celebrating its annual international ice festival in the city.
