New Delhi:

We get it, not all bacteria are bad bacteria, after all, cheese is made by curdling milk after which a starter culture of bacteria is added to convert the lactose into lactic acid, But, how about making cheese from bacteria harvested from the armpits, bellybuttons of celebrities? We have seen fans go to lengths to have parts of their favourite stars, like Michael Jackson’s discarded hair, Elvis Presley’s worn underwear to Scarlett Johannsson’s used tissue, yup, you heard that right, fans sometimes forget that even celebrities are living, breathing beings like the rest of us.

Another ridiculous example of fans willing to go overboard are the cheeses that are being made out of celebrities’ armpit and bellybuttons. Yes, those areas which requires the most scrubbing during shower or a bath! These hunger-killing products as part of an exhibition at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London have gone on display and artists Christina Agapakis and Sissel Tolaas have had their bacteria swabbed from the belly buttons create the seemingly unappetising type of cheeses.

Commenting on the exhibition, artisanal cheesemaker and food writer Rosie Cotton said, "I know it sounds disgusting but really it's quite clever, not all bacteria is bad bacteria. Even the cheese you see in the shops comes from bacteria."

Other celebrities who are reportedly involved in the project of this cheesy cheese project include the rapper Professor Green, chef Heston Blumenthal, musician Alex James, Bake Off contestant Ruby Tandoh and Suggs from the band Madness.

The cheese board consists of mozzarella, Cheshire cheese, comté, stilton, and cheddar.
