A shoe bite is a blister on the foot caused by repeated rubbing of shoes against your feet. It is more common with shoes that are tight or ill-fitting. Sometimes, the sweat from your feet can also cause the shoes to rub against the skin, causing shoe bites. Ice: One of the easiest ways to alleviate the pain of a shoe bite is by rubbing the ice cubes on the affected area. You will get relief instantly as ice numbs the area automatically decreasing itching and pain. It also reduces swelling, if any, caused by shoe bites.
Aloe Vera: The anti-inflammatory and healing properties of Aloe vera can help reduce the blisters on your feet. It also gives a cooling effect and reduces itching. Apply aloe vera gel generously to the affected area. Leave it on for a while before you rinse it off with plain water.
Olive oil: Olive oil can also help reduce the blisters on your feet. Mix two to three drops of olive oil with one to two drops of almond oil. Apply it to the affected area. Repeat this remedy two times a day until the inflammation reduces.
Toothpaste: Toothpaste contains menthol that acts as an analgesic and reduces the pain caused by shoe bite. Take half a teaspoon of toothpaste on a clean cotton pad. Apply this onto the shoe bite and leave it on until it dries. The rinse it with water.
Neem and turmeric: Neem leaves and turmeric can help reduce inflammation and infection. Blend all the ingredients to form a thick paste. Apply this paste to the shoe bite. Leave it on until it dries and rinse off with water.
