Before you chuck the claim as another non-plausible claim, hear us out because the new study has been conducted on 29 adults and proven to yield successful results. For the study published in the Journal of Sports Medicine and Physical, researchers divided the participants into two groups. One group was asked to complete a fitness program that included seven-minute training session every day for six weeks performing various bodyweight exercises like jumping jacks, crunches, push-ups, and squats. The other group however was asked not to exert any physical exercise though they still maintained regular diets as the first group.
After six weeks, the result showed that the first group who had participated in the training session lost around 2 kilos of fat and shed about an inch of belly fat.
So, how does performing bodyweight exercises make you lose weight quick? The researchers revealed that resistance exercises can increase your lean body mass while burning body fat at the same time. Doing intense bodyweight exercises like clapping push-ups, tuck jumps, mountain climbers and squat jumps will challenge your body more because they're high-intensity movements, health experts added.
