A 45-year-old Chinese woman developed 200 gallstones but she revealed that despite the fact that her stomach pain had started more than 10 years ago, she did not visit doctors because of the fear of surgery, according to reports. The woman is identified as Ms Chen. In India also a similar case had developed when doctors removed 5,070 gallstones from the body of the patient.

The woman visited Guanji Hospital, in Hezhou, in China, where it was revealed through tests that she had number of gallstones. According to experts, they built up over the years. Surgeons consequently operated and removed the stones from the gall bladder and bile ducts. Size of some of the stones was quite large even as big as eggs.

According to Dr Quanwei Wei, who is a general surgeon, told that the stones might have developed in the patient’s body due to her habbit of skipping breakfast. Ms Chen told that she had not eaten breakfast for eight years.

Dr Quanwei Wei suggested that due to diet, bile accumulated in her gall bladder and bile ducts which formed stones.

Gallstones are small stones, usually made of cholesterol, that form in the gallbladder. If they get stucked in a duct inside the gallbladder, it cn cause pain. An imbalance in the chemical make-up of bile in the gall bladder can cause the formation of gallstones.
