Is the Delhi pollution destroying your lungs? If yes, there is a solution straightaway. Buy a bottle of fresh air. No, seriously! In what can be considered bizarre yet alarming, companies like Auzair, Vitality Air and Indian brand Pure Himalayan Air have actually come up with bottled fresh air to combat Delhi's deteriorating air.

Face masks, air purifiers, indoor-plants and now fresh air in a bottle are the several ways to combat Delhi’s air pollution. It seems the country is more interested on stalling this situation rather than looking for solutions. Until a few years ago, fresh air was the only thing that was available for free to Delhiites. But with the environmental situation in the national capital deteriorating, the citizens are literally paying a price for fresh air.

The quality of Delhi's air has worsened in the last two years and is heading to a point of no return. Oscillating from very poor to severe, Delhi’s air condition will reduce the life expectancy of residents by over 10 years, according to studies. In 2016, when Delhi’s air condition was recorded the worst, the Gas Authority of India Limited (GAIL) sponsored a campaign which was motivated by a famous YouTube video which introduced the idea of selling freshly packaged air in Delhi.

The video did wonders in awakening the people to the reality but with this new idea of fresh air in a bottle, it looks like the video represented then will have to be the reality residents live with.

According to sources, this idea of fresh air in a bottle came about from Vitality Air, a Canadian company that started selling bottled air. Then came Australia-based brand, Auzair who also started selling their products in India with bottle of 7.5 litres of fresh air costing Rs 1500. Taking advantage of the situation, companies like Auzair, Vitality Air and Indian brand Pure Himalayan Air have actually come up with bottled fresh air.
