Repeated medical advises and suggestions may have turned you into an aquaholic and its even good to drink enough water. Proper hydration is the key to good health. Our body needs water to function anything from 1½ litres to three litres a day depending on body size and exertion.

Water does a lot of things in the human body, it lubricates joints, carries nutrients around the body and regulates body temperature and digestion. Also beauty experts believe that drinking plenty of water helps in maintaining a glowing and healthy skin.

However drinking water the whole day can get even better if you start including fruits and vegetables in your water bottle. As fruits and veggies are more water-laden specially cucumbers, lettuce, courgettes and radishes boasting more than 95 per cent.

But now you can include water-rich veggies in your diet making it wholesome. Studies show that fruit and vegetables can hydrate the body twice as effectively as a glass of water.

So an entire cucumber (which weighs 100g and is 96 per cent water) might deliver only just under100 ml of liquid (just over a quarter of a pint). Not only this water rich diets helps bulk up your diet while delivering nutrients and water.

Specially during summers, to make your hydration habit even tastier what you can do is add cucumber sliced in to two, lettuce, lemon and other veggies to your water bottle, this helps in flushing out the toxins from the body.
