Shripad Yesso Naik, Minister of State for Ayush has said that Government of India is taking all steps to promote research in different departments of Homoeopathy and also encourage new researchers to help India become the leader in the research field of homoeopathy.
The minister added that the number of people who have started using the homoeopathic system of medicine has increased. He spoke at the International Homoeopathic Conference which was organised in Bengaluru by the Karnataka Qualified Doctors’ Association.
Naik was the chief guest at the three-day conference held from September 8 to 10. This is the first time that an international conference related to Homoeopathy has been organised in the city.
Minister for Health and Family Welfare, K.R. Ramesh, inaugurated the conference and announced that state government will open up Ayush clinics including homoeopathic centres in about 176 taluks.
Dr. B D Patel, chairman of the conference stressed on the need for all diverse schools of homoeopathy to work towards one common goal, that is to serve humanity. He even gave the slogan, '' Sab ka Swasthya, Homoeopathy ke saath''.
Many eminent people who contributed to the field of homoeopathy were bestowed with awards at the conference.
