Kerala Doctors has successfully removed 70mm-long worm from woman’s eye after she reported irritation in and around her eye. If reports are to be believed, doctors conducted a 10 minute-long surgery to remove a 70mm- long worm of the Dirofilaria genus from the woman’s eye.

Shocking! Doctors remove 70mm-long worm from woman’s eye in Kerala

Doctors in Kerala has successfully removed 70mm-long worm from woman’s eye after she reported irritation in and around her eye. If reports are to be believed, doctors conducted a 10 minute-long surgery to remove a 70mm- long worm of the Dirofilaria genus from the woman’s eye. The worm is known to cause Elephantiasis, or the swelling of the lymph nodes and vessels.

The lady was given a local anesthesia by the physicians which lasted for about 10 minutes.

According to media reports, Lalitha’s eye got better the next day itself, but she has been given medication to prevent the spread of the worms to other parts of her body.
