Believe it or not, but it's true that Indian company Manforce has launched new "pickle" flavoured condoms in India.
The new "Achari" flavoured condoms are launched for "the Parantha and Achar lovers", claims the punchline written on its packet.
'Parantha' and 'Achar' is a traditional Indian food combination which has a special place among country's foodies. And the company seems to be experimenting by targeting the parantha and Achar lover youth. The sour taste of Achar (pickle) is also loved by most girls and women in India.

A country with over 1.2 billion population has a big condom market and there are already a variety of other traditional flavours such as chocolate, strawberry and banana available in the market.
Apart from massive population, India is a home to many sex related diseases including HIV. According to a National Aids Control Organisation report published in 2015, India is the third largest country with HIV prevalence.
The major reasons behind the problem is lack of sex education. Also use of condoms is considered as a taboo in some parts of culturaly vast country.
