Priyanka Chopra recently took to Twitter to spread awareness about coronavirus and the fake news going around about its contraction and spread. The actress was in conversation with WHO General-Director Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus and WHO’s Technical Lead for Covid-19, Dr Maria Van Kerkhove and the post went live on Instagram.
Priyanka captioned her post as, “There is so much information circulating about Covid-19. And right now we’re all searching for clarity. My friends at @WHO and @glblctzn graciously brought the doctors working on the front lines here to give us answers straight from the experts. Please take some time to watch my IG Live with Dr. Tedros (General-Director at W.H.O.) and Dr. Maria Van Kerkhove (Technical Lead for Covid-19) from @WHO, who answered some questions that so many of you sent in.”
Priyanka further asked her followers to contribute to the World Health Organization and be united to flatten the Coronavirus spread curve. Finally asking her fans to stay indoor, responsible and safe Priyanka asked them to tag their friends who are distracted over all the false news spreading around and are unaware what steps are being taken by authorities.
Priyanka started the conversation with how coronavirus precautions are for people who are Type 1 diabetic as is her husband Nick Jonas and for an asthma patient like her. The doctors said that COVID-19 is worse for people with pre-existing conditions but the only precaution they can take is maintaining social-distancing.

They then went on to answer if the people who have already had coronavirus once can get it again to which they were not definitive but affirmed that they are likely to form antibodies and are less vulnerable to the disease.
Dr Maria also informed that the virus has spread in different climates, such as China and Singapore and there is no definite answer to of the virus infection cases will lower as summer comes or will be less in a warm climate. On a positive note, she said that the vaccine for the diseases will take 12 to 18 months to be created.
Calling coronavirus a 'weird leveller' Priyanka said that everyone is on the same boat and should take the same kind of precautions to stay safe. The actor is in the US after Holi celebrations in India and is practising self-isolation for three weeks now.
