We all love our pets and for many of us, they are the apple of our eyes. Some people simply love to snuggle up with them while sleeping.
However, according to a new study, doing so can affect our sleep quality. The research states that letting the pups crawl under the cover can impact the sleep of a person.
People who snuggled up to their pets while in bed end up sacrificing their sleep says the study. Sleeping with your pet is fine as long as they are in the same bedroom. Sharing a bed may be not so good for your sleep.
The research team analysed the sleep of 40 adults who didn't have any sleep disorders along with their dogs over a period of five months.
The participants and their pets wore activity trackers which allowed the team to monitor the sleeping habits for seven nights.
It was found out that sleeping with dogs actually helped some people to get better sleep, whether they are dozing off with a schnauzer or a Great Dane.
Pet owners often are out for much of the day and hence they wish to spend more time with their pets. Many people, therefore, take their pet to the bed because they find it an easy way to spend time.
