Tablets for curing mental disorder in US, Dr Reddy's launch

Aripiprazole tablets that are used to mental / mood disorders  in the United States market have now been launched by Dr Reddy's Laboratories.

The drug is a curative equivalent generic version of Abilify (Aripiprazole) tablets. The drug has been inntroduced by the world's biggest pharma market after getting approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA),  the city-based company told.

The tablets are available in 2 mg, 5 mg, 10 mg, 15 mg, 20 mg and 30 mg doses. The US sales for Abilify brand and generic tablets have been approximately $3.1 billion for the 12 months till August 2016 according to IMS Health.

Aripiprazole has certain medical uses. It is used to treat mental/mood disorders such as bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, Tourette's disorder, and irritability associated with autistic disorder.
