Dr SP Byotra, Department of Internal Medicine, Sir Ganga Ram Hospital said, the number of cases will go up in the coming days. Generally, the cases of swine flu arrive in Delhi in the month of September.This year we have the cases of vector-borne diseases combined with the H1N1 virus.It is a deadly combination.

“If you compare with other states, we have far fewer numbers. Percentage of death in the state of Gujarat, for example, is almost 24, while Delhi has just about 0.63%,” said Satyendra Jain, Delhi health minister, during a press briefing on Tuesday.

The Delhi government would soon be launching a large-scale awareness campaign that would involve residents in combating the spread of vector-borne diseases during and after the monsoon, he added.
