From a kid with chubby cheeks to now a worldwide fitness-icon, the stylish cricketer opened up on his new vegan diet plan and workout routine.
"Kohli started this diet four months back and is feeling stronger as his digestive power has increased. He isn't missing meat, eggs or dairy," according to Times of India.
The Indian cricket captain decided to stay away from animal protein four months ago and feels it has helped his game. Kohli’s current diet includes protein shakes, vegetables and soya. He has given up eggs and dairy products. “Kohli started this diet four months ago and is feeling stronger as his digestive power has increased. He isn’t missing meat, eggs or dairy,” sources said, insisting Kohli’s diet has had a calming effect on his temperament." said the TOI report.
Kohli’s wife, Anushka Sharma, turned vegetarian around the same time and is being commended for ensuring that Kohli follows a set routine for his training, the way he eats and keeping a constant check on what he can to do stay healthy and fit.
In one of his interviews, he had mentioned that he wasn't a fitness fanatic until former coach of the Indian team Duncan Fletcher prompted him to take things more seriously.
