There are several weight loss programmes but losing it for real is not an easy task for most people, especially if you are above 40 years of age because your body's metabolism tends to slow down and the already tough task suddenly becomes more difficult. There are the usual tried and tested ways of losing weight such as sticking to a strict diet. But wait, why should you deprive yourself from enjoying food.

Food is life! One needs to eat well to stay healthy and fit. So here's the secret weight loss rules you must follow if you have been struggling to lose weight. It's simple and easy. You don't have to lose your mind or fret over weight loss or weight gain anymore.

Rule No 1 to weight loss:

Eat well: Eat a balanced diet to stay fit Eat good and healthy food. Fill your daily platter with different types of cuisines to get maximum nutrients that your body requires to keep you healthy and fit. Eat everything in small or moderate portions. Cut down your portion of food if you have been indulging in food too much. Smaller portions of everything is the trick.

Rule No  2 to weight loss:

Drink water: Drink a tall glass of water on an empty stomach first thing in the morning. Drink it warm and slow to flush out all toxins and clean your system. Keep drinking water throughout the day. Drink a glass of hot water before you hit the bed to sleep.

Rule No 3 to weight loss

Sugarless drinks: Replace your morning sweet drinks such as milk tea or coffee with lemon tea or plain red tea or green tea. Drink hot red tea or green tea after every meal. Avoid sugar in your drinks. Replace all your sweeten drinks with coconut juice or lemon juice or aam panna juice.

Rule No 4 to weight loss:

Exercise: pick up a fitness regimen that you enjoy such as yoga, walking, running, jogging, dancing and other exercises. Stick to one or two for a month and see the change. Don't miss it even for a day. Squeezing out 30 minutes of your day for a walk is not difficult. The more you excercise the faster you will lose weight.
