About 300 million people worldwide suffer from asthma and almost 10 per cent of this number comes from India. As per the Asthma Society of India, at present 25% of Indian population suffers from allergy and 5% of them are suffering from asthma.
The chronic disease of asthma affects the air passages of lungs which inflames and narrows them causing trouble in breathing.
A lot of factors affect our lifestyle and if worked upon asthma effects can be reduced. While it is not clear what causes asthma but researchers believe that it is caused by a combination of both genetic and environmental factors.
