World Environment Day is celebrated each year on June 5 to being about an awareness to one of the most prominent environmental problem-air pollution. Studies on air pollution indicated that nine out of every 10 people in the world breathe air that violates World Health Organization guidelines. This year, the World Environment Day is themed ‘Beat Air Pollution’ a call to everyone to take a stand against the global crisis.

On the occasion to mark a global crisis that calls for an all-awakening, how do we also take measures to prevent ourselves from the calamity we have created.

Below are some of the easy steps to protect yourself from air pollution:

  1. Air purifying indoor plants: Keeping indoor plants are hands down the easiest and most convenient way to protect yourself from air pollution.
