Scientists say that a dog will refuse to obey the command of untrustworthy people. An experiment showed the dogs being pointed to a container which contained food. Next the researcher pointed to a container that was empty. In the end, even if the researcher pointed the dogs to a container with food, the dogs no longer trusted him. Dogs hence have more sophisticated social intelligence than they are perceived. This ability perhaps has to do with their long life history with humans.
