With a bold UN theme that reads, ‘’ Think Equal, Build Smart, Innovative for Change, sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik for International Women’s Day creates yet another spectacular sand art to celebrate women. A historical day that can be traced back to February 28, 1909, in New York after the Socialist Party of America organized sought a change in how a women’s right is perceived regarding better pay, suffrage and shorter work hours, March 8 since then has been observed annually to recognise the strength, resilience and determination of a woman.
Celebrating this historic day for women, Patnaik shared pictures of the sand art at the Odisha's Puri Beach with the caption, "My sand art on International #WomensDay with message 'Think equal, Built smart, Innovate for change', at Puri beach in Odisha."

Sudarsan Pattnaik’s sand art like most of his works were quick to notice by the masses, a hat-removing worth talent that resulted in him to be awarded  Padma Shri by Government of India in 2014, Pattnaik annually, month gives sand a meaning with beautiful sand arts on social issues, festivals, observances and important events that happens across the globe.
