International Women’s Day 2020 is right at the corner and though the society celebrates the genesis of gender- equality on this day pledging to not subject women to any kind of discrimination, not everyone is well versed with its history and significance.
The first Women’s Day was commemorated on February 28, 1909 in New York by the Socialist Party of America and hence this day is the precursor of Women’s Day. March 08 as international Women’s Day was suggested by International Woman's Conference in 1910 and got its place in the global calendar since 1913 when Russia observed the day. Nevertheless, the first notable march by 5,000 women to raise their voice against oppression & inequality in New York City happened in 1908.
The rights available to a woman (ladies) in India can be classified into two categories, namely as constitutional rights and legal rights. The constitutional rights. A small message to all on women's day. Woman's beauty is in her thoughts and actions; not in her skin or weight. It is the society which designed to see woman's beauty in name of colour and structure. Never make a person feel weak on her looks; she is framed in her own way of beauty, intelligence and feelings. A woman has got more things to admire than her appearance. She is the source of strength in a family and society. She is good at hiding all her emotions behind her smile. She is a powerful soul to make changes happen. Encourage her to be strong and independent. Respect and protect her. Embrace her for what she is! 😇 On this day wish all women u know saying "She is beautiful and she is incredible!" Happy women's day to all my beautiful and strong ladies.. 😇 Love u all for being u!! ðŸ˜Â😘 #womensday #womenempowerment #beingawoman #beyourself #staystrong #beautifullady #strongwomen #independent #beautifulsoul #lovable #admirable #boldlady #womensdaymessage #lovegirlbaby #powerfulwomen #womensafety
