Good Friday is observed every year on the Friday before the preceding Easter Sunday. This Year, Good Friday 2020 is observed worldwide on April 10. Good Friday is a religious Christian Holiday that remembers and commemorates the crucifixion of Lord Jesus. The day is observed during the holy and pious week of the Paschal Triduum on the Friday before the Easter Sunday. Good Friday is also known by the names of Great Friday, Black Friday and Holy Friday. Good Friday is the day when Jesus Christ was crucified and the Easter Sunday is the day when the Lord was resurrected.
The day is observed by Christian communities including Eastern Orthodox, Catholic and many more with fasting and services that are offered in churches. The date of Good Friday varies every year in terms of Gregorian and Julian Calendars. Good Friday is considered as legal holiday in most of the western countries while in countries like Germany things like dancing and horse racing are not allowed.
