One of the most prominent events of Christians, Good Friday, that is observed to commemorate the crucifixion of Jesus falls today, on April 10 this year. The festival is mainly observed with prayers and a mass held at the church. This year although mass gathering at religious institutions will not take place due to the antionwide lockdown over the outbreak of coronavirus, devotees can reflect on the death of Jesus during the entire course of the day, offer prayers at home, read scriptures from the Holy Bible and send wishes to friends and relatives which is the purpose that this day is observed. It is believed that God poured out his wrath on sins over Jesus in order to ‘bestow forgiveness and salvation out to the nations’.

Here are some Good Friday messages to share with your loved ones:

"May your faith in the god, bring peace to your hearth & New hope in your live. May God Always bless You! ― Have a Blessed GOOD FRIDAY"!

"For he taught his disciples, and said unto them, the Son of man is delivered into the hands of men, and they shall kill him; and after that he is killed, he shall rise the third day."

"Easter is a time when God turned the inevitability of death into the invincibility of life."

"We may say that on the first Good Friday afternoon was completed that great act by which light conquered darkness and goodness conquered sin. That is the wonder of our Saviour’s crucifixion."

"Our Lord has written the promise of the resurrection, not in books alone but in every leaf in springtime."

“I am the witness to his fearless death.I am a token of hislast promiseforgiveness…I am the CROSS! Blessings on Good Friday

"To holy people the very name of Jesus is a name to feed upon, a name to transport. His name can raise the dead and transfigure and beautify the living."

“Could You Not Keep Watch With Me One Hour?” + At the conclusion of the Mass of the Last Supper on Holy Thursday, the Blessed Sacrament is carried in solemn procession to the Altar of Reposition, where it will remain until Good Friday. It has long been a tradition on this solemn night that Catholics would spend time in adoration at this altar in their own church, and they often visit other nearby churches to do the same. It is also customary that adoration concludes with the final hour of the Divine Office, Compline just prior to midnight. + The altar of repose is the place where the faithful join Our Lord in the Garden of Gethsemane, in response to His words, “What? Could you not watch one hour with me? Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.” + #stpetervolo #holyhour #adoration #lastsupper #holythursday #gardenofgethsemane #altarofrepose #pray #faithful #lordjesus #lordjesuschrist #divineoffice #blessedsacrament #holymass #goodfriday #holyspirit #catholic #church
