Tracing its practise from Goddess Savitri, Karwa Chauth is celebrated every year by married women for the overall prosperity of their husbands. Women observe fasts, rituals that are broken only after the glimpse of the full moon. Over the years this celebration of Karva Chauth have been imbibed as a symbolic bond of the pure and strong bond between a husband and wife.
