Yes, we are celebrating International Women’s Day and will mark many more. Many will talk about the ways and mediums to explore the sectors to improve the empowerment pattern for women in our very-own patriarchal society.
Some may even blabber about government policies and not so plenty options available to check the safety measures and the celebration of only one-day to celebrate woman’s freedom and expression.
However, here I will not discuss the perils of the dichotomy culture which pushes us women behind every step we take forward.
I will also not talk about the many confidences which a woman get in the form of other relations, friends and society. But, one of the most important relations in my life - My husband.
Many would argue that a women don’t need any shoulder or dependence in any form, but I would make a point here that domination and suppressing the women tendency has gone beyond ages and it will take time to finally improve the structure but what I am today, where I stand today- my family, my parents play an important role. They brought me to the threshold from where I had to start my own journey which was very difficult.
This is where the husband’s role comes in. His love, devotion and always that 'push to bring me forward attitude' in the workplace or family gave a chance to explore myself even while I was staying with my in-laws, undergoing labour or missing time with my 4-year-old.
His courage to face my darkness, his will to resolve my differences, his little try to make me happy when I was troubled by workplace environment or petty family issues built a stronger me- One that could fall but rise again from ashes like a phoenix.
Thank you Mr Husband for your understanding, never allowing to let me fail and harnessing that undying, unconditional love which kept me upfloat.
You have given me one beautiful gift which was missing in my life- my smile with which I can conquer all my fears. Being a man you have made a difference in a woman’s life.
Thank You!
A doting Wife
