British artist Jason deCaires Taylor is creating an extraordinary series of underwater artworks, theme based concrete figures. Portraying the inexplicable the artists has taken to another level by setting up his visionary sculptures under the sea.

Below 15 metres under the surface of the sea, a crowd of figures seemingly motionless make an under sea museum. Taylor has submerged these sculptures in what will become Europe’s first underwater museum, Museo Atlantico, in Lanzarote.

The museum will be accessible to scuba divers. Different themes include refugees, selfie-taking tourists and motionless under water life.

Taylor further plans to add to this museum an underwater fountain, lighting and a giant mirror reflecting a ‘pool’ in the sea.
