Lake Como is a popular go-to wedding destination for all richie rich. Located in Northern Italy’s Lombardy region, Lake Como is an upscale resort area known for its dramatic scenery. From Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh’s wedding to Isha Ambani’s soon to be wedding at Lake Como, this location sure must have a charm that lures the bankrollers into a nuptial bond.

  1. Exotic Location: Lake Como is set against the foothills of the Alps with Renaissance architecture and a funicular that travels up to the mountain town of Brunate.
  2. Como is the birthplace of villa culture: Villas and the rich, Como and the weddings makes so much sense now. It was during the rise of the Roman Empire, that the rich and powerful people built their villas on the shores of Lake Como. It was since then that the villa culture also known as, villa epoche, became popular and celebrated. 
  3. Como was one home to genius artistes: Como was once resided by the great Roman poet, Virgil in the Augustan era and during the Renaissance times, one of the world’s greatest genius, Leonardo da Vinci is said to have live and crated his masterpieces at the valley.
