BBMP employees stage protest against Karnataka government

Bengaluru (Karnataka) [India] July 8, (ANI): Municipal employee from corporation acro Karnataka on Tueday taged a ymbolic trike againt the State government eeking fulfilment of variou demand.
The protet began thi morning at the Freedom Park in Bengaluru.

Employee of the BBMP (Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike), along with taff from variou municipal corporation acro the tate, took leave from work to participate in the protet at Freedom Park here.
Ten municipal corporation in the State were hut down today. Additionally, employee took ma leave to participate in the protet.
Among the lit of demand of the employee include the withdrawal of the Logafe attendance ytem, filling up of 6,000 vacant pot and an end to the upenion of employee for illy reaon. They are alo demanding a reduction in the number of marhal on duty, and promotion for engineer baed on eniority, among other.
Our corporation provide all ervice from birth to death, o we are demanding facilitie from the tate government, including KGID, General Provident Fund and Jyothi Sanjeevini Scheme. We alo demand C&R in promotion. We have conulted miniter in the government, a participant at the protet aid.
Another participant, named Rajiv aid that the corporation employee dont feel a part of the government of Karnataka. They are treating u a a emi-government. When we came here with the completion of the KVC (Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan), why are we not conidered a part of it?
He further aid, Once Grampanchayat i upgraded into Pattan Panchayat, it become emi-governmental. However, if one remain a part of Grampanchayat, then they remain to be a part of the government. How i that fair?.
Our main demand i that we all hould be conidered a government employee. We hould alo get all the benefit, he aid. (ANI)
