Hi remark come a RJD leader Tejahwi Yadav, joined by Congre MP Rahul Gandhi, announced the protet to oppoe the Election Commiion move requiring freh voter verification in the poll-bound tate.

Earlier in the day, Tejahwi Yadav announced to organie a chakka jam (road blockade along with Congre MP Rahul Gandhi on July 9, oppoing the Election Commiion of India deciion to conduct electoral reviion in Bihar.

While addreing a pre conference, Tejahwi Yadav continued to raie deep concern over the Special Intenive Reviion (SIR), which i being carried out in poll-bound Bihar.
The RJD leader Tejahwi Yadav on Monday claimed that thoe who do not have any of the 11 document aked for verification, their name will be removed from the electoral roll lit.
The Bihar Leader of Oppoition (LoP) aid that the oppoition had met the Election Commiion on July 5 to raie their concern; however, they till havent received any anwer from the poll panel.
On July 5, we met the Election Commiion of India and poed our quetion before it. The worry i that we have no clarity from the EC o far. You all know that Bihar EC work only a a pot office and ha no authority to provide an anwer. Why are they not anwering the quetion of the oppoition and the people of Bihar. People of Bihar dont have the 11 document which EC ha aked for; rather, they have an Aadhaar card, MGNREGA card, and ration card. Thi i the only document that the poor people of Bihar have. It i clear that the people who do not have thee 11 document, their name will be removed, Yadav aid.
Since the announcement of the SIR of electoral roll, the oppoition partie have raied their concern.
Petition challenging the Election Commiion of India (ECI) move to conduct a Special Intenive Reviion (SIR) of electoral roll in poll-bound Bihar were filed in the Supreme Court, to which the top court ha agreed to hear on July 10.
The petition were filed by Rahtriya Janata Dal (RJD) MP Manoj Jha, the Aociation for Democratic Reform (ADR), activit Yogendra Yadav, Trinamool MP Mahua Moitra, and former Bihar MLA Mujahid Alam.
The petition ought a direction to quah the ECI June 24 directive, which require large ection of voter in Bihar to ubmit proof of citizenhip to remain on the electoral roll. (ANI)
