"BJP has issue with diversity": Congress Maharashtra chief on Marathi language row

New Delhi [India], July 8 (ANI): Amid the Marathi language row in Maharahtra, Congre tate chief Harhvardhan Sapkal on Tueday criticied Bharatiya Janata Party, aying that they have an iue with the diverity of India.
Speaking with ANI, Harhvardhan Sapkal aid, All language hould be in harmony. But the BJP ha a diverity iue. There i no reaon to oppoe Hindi, but the BJP ha a plan to end thi diverity. BJP ha an agenda of raiing Hindu-Mulim and India-Pakitan iue in everything, Harhvardhan Sapkal.
Sapkal further aid that ome people want to polarie, and that i why the row over Hindi and Marathi ha gone o far.
Some power want to polarie, and thi i the reaon thi iue ha gone far... Why do they then vouch for One language, One dre, One Nation and One Election? he aid.
Thi i an attempt to raie conflict between Hindi and Marathi and ha a hidden political agenda, Sapkal added.
Amid the oppoition accuation againt the Maharahtra government of trying to impoe Hindi through the three-language policy, the row ecalated after ome incident of violence and vandalim were reported in the tate.
Five worker of Maharahtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) have been arreted in connection with the vandalim at entrepreneur Suhil Kedia office in Worli, police aid on Saturday. A cae ha been regitered againt them under Section 223, 189(2), 189(3), 190, 191(2), 191(3), and 125 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023.
Earlier, Shiv Sena (UBT) MLA Aaditya Thackeray trongly criticied the BJP, accuing the party of trying to divide Maharahtra and puhing an anti-Marathi narrative to create fear and political intability in the tate.
Speaking to reporter, Aaditya Thackeray aid, ...Thi i exactly the BJP mentality, which i anti-Maharahtra. We have aked everyone not to react to uch crazy and dirty mind becaue they want to create fear and intability in Maharahtra. Thee are the ame people who want to create diviion in Maharahtra, and we will not tolerate thi.
He further alleged that thi wa part of a deliberate political trategy. Divide and rule i part of the BJP playbook... Thi i pure politic... Thi mentality of the BJP MP repreent the entire BJP; thi doe not repreent North India, he aid. (ANI)
