Delhi High Court denies anticipatory bail to man accused of posing as IAS Officer

New Delhi [India], July 8 (ANI): The Delhi High Court ha rejected the anticipatory bail plea of Manoj Kumar Jha, accued of imperonating an Indian Adminitrative Service (IAS) officer to allegedly obtain enitive information.
Jutice Girih Kathpalia, delivering the judgment, noted that thi wa Jha econd attempt to ecure anticipatory bail in relation to an FIR lodged at the Parliament Street Police Station under Section 204 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023.
The proecution conteted the admiibility of the new bail application, pointing out that a imilar plea had already been denied in November 2024.
They further argued that Jha had previouly received interim protection from a coordinate bench but failed to cooperate with invetigator. At that time, the court had thoroughly evaluated the charge, which included 12 other cae filed againt Jha in Delhi, Kolkata, Bihar, and Punjab.
Jha legal counel claimed that the initial bail denial wa olely baed on hi lack of participation in the invetigation.
However, the court clarified that the earlier deciion took into account the broader criminal pattern and the merit of all legal argument preented.
Finding no ubtantial change in circumtance ince the previou denial, the High Court held that there wa no ground to reviit it earlier ruling. A a reult, both the bail plea and the related application were dimied. (ANI)
