Bengaluru (Karnataka) [India], August 12 (ANI): Karnataka BJP President BY Vijayendra on Tuesday slammed Rahul Gandhi, saying he does not have the patience to hear the facts following KN Rajanna resignation amid controversy over his remarks on voter list irregularities.

Speaking to the reporters, BY Vijayendra said, I dont think Rahul Gandhi has the guts to hear the truth. He does not have the patience to hear the facts. When Rahul Gandhi was here in Bangalore last week, speaking against the Election Commission of India. He also alleged that PM Modi and the BJP have come to power in the centre by malpractices. But when Rajanna has spoken out the truth, when he has said the facts, when he has put the records straight, why is Rahul Gandhi upset?

Vijayendra questioned why Rahul Gandhi forced Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to accept the resignation of KN Rajanna, asking if this shows respect to a senior leader from the Scheduled Tribe community.

Why did he force Siddaramaiah to take the resignation of Rajanna? His resignation has not been sought. He has been suspended from the cabinet. Is it the respect that the Congress party and Rahul Gandhi are showing to a senior leader of the ST community? he added.

Meanwhile, Former Karnataka Cooperation Minister KN Rajanna addressed his resignation from the Karnataka Cabinet, claiming a huge conspiracy behind his dismissal from the state Cabinet.

His exit follows controversial remarks on voter fraud that clashed with the Congress party stance, drawing sharp reactions from the opposition.

Rajanna claimed that his earlier statement regarding vote theft was misunderstood.

On Saturday, Rajanna, talking to reporters in Tumkur, asked why Congress leaders turned a blind eye to irregularities in voter lists and kept silent when they should have raised objections.

He said, Look, if we just start talking about such things casually, there will be different opinions. When was the voter list prepared? It was prepared when our own government was in power. At that time, was everyone just sitting quietly with their eyes closed? These irregularities did take place -- that the truth. There is nothing false in this. (ANI)
