Shimla (Himachal Pradeh) [India], July 7 (ANI): Himachal Pradeh Chief Miniter Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu chaired the 215th Board of Director meeting of Himachal Pradeh State Foret Development Corporation (HPSFDC) on Monday and directed the incorporation of modern technology in it functioning.
According to the releae, CM Sukhu intructed the HPSFDC to equip all timber go-down with CCTV facilitie to enure better monitoring.
He alo directed to explore the poibility of etting up a bamboo proceing factory in the Gagret area of the Una ditrict to provide remunerative price to the farmer of Una, Kangra, Bilapur and Hamirpur ditrict. He aked to integrate National Tranit Pae into the Corporation to facilitate the people, according to the releae.
A per the releae, the Chief Miniter aid that the HPSFDC had recorded a ale of R. 289.91 crore from timber, roin and turpentine oil in the financial year 2024-25, earning a net profit of R. 14.93 crore.
The ale of HPSFDC wa R. 267 crore in the financial year 2023-24, and it earned a net profit of R. 7.88 crore during the year. In addition to thi, it alo received royalty amounting to R. 41.30 crore from the ilviculture felling, he aid, a per the releae.
Vice Chairman of the H.P. State Foret Development Corporation, Kehar Singh Khachi, Along with Official and Non-official Member of the Board, Additional Chief Secretary K.K. Pant, Principal Secretary, Finance, Deveh Kumar, Principal Chief Conervator of Foret (HOFF), Samir Ratogi, Managing Director of HPSFDC, Sanjay Sood, and other enior officer, alo attended the meeting, a per the releae.
Earlier in the day, while preiding over the 9th meeting of the State Diater Management Authority, Sukhu aid that diater poe the bigget challenge for the future and combating the advere effect of climate change i a preing concern for humanity.
The Chief Miniter expreed eriou concern over the riing incident of cloud burt in the State and aid that the matter had alo been raied with the Union Home Miniter, Amit Shah. (ANI)
