Kokrajhar (Aam) [India], July 8 (ANI): Aam Chief Miniter Himanta Biwa Sarma on Monday trongly defended the ongoing eviction drive in part of the tate, reiterating the government commitment to removing what he termed a illegal Bangladehi.
Interacting with media in Kokrajhar, CM Sarma aid, Some people from Karimganj, Dhubri, Chappar, and Silchar are going and ettling in Lakhimpur. They have been evicted to protect the freedom and land right of the local people of Lakhimpur.
He further tated that the BJP government eviction campaign will not be halted under political preure. If anyone ha a problem with the removal of 350 illegal Bangladehi, they will have to bear it. Many people have been martyred in the pat in the fight to drive Bangladehi, Sarma aid.
The Chief Miniter alo accued oppoition leader of politiciing the iue. Now they are doing politic in the name of thi girl to provide ecurity to Bangladehi. Their objective i to top the BJP eviction campaign, but the BJP ha gone ahead with it, he added.
Sarma emphaized that the campaign will continue in other part of the tate, including Dhubri. It will happen tomorrow in Dhubri Chappar. No outider hould be allowed to enter Bodoland, he declared.
Earlier on July 5, CM Sarma informed that 18 Bangladehi, living without valid document in Aam, were puhed back. He aid the puhback were done from the Cachar and Sribhumi ditrict.
