Jammu (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], October 14 (ANI): Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha said that inclusion is the key for prosperity and the government efforts are focused on ensuring all members of society participate in Jammu and Kashmir developmental journey.

He said this while delivering a address on the 45th Foundation Day of the J&K Samaj Kalyan Kendra School for the Hearing Impaired in Jammu on Monday.

LG called for the implementation of inclusive rehabilitation measures and emphasised the importance of ensuring equal opportunities in education and employment for empowerment and a dignified life for people with special abilities.

The Union Territory Lieutenant Governor also stated that, over the past few years, the government efforts have focused on ensuring that all members of society participate fully in Jammu and Kashmir developmental journey and that people with special abilities are able to unlock their potential and contribute to greater prosperity and social stability.

The Lieutenant Governor highlighted the four essential aspects for empowering people with special abilities, and first, identifying their strengths and promoting them. Secondly, creating an inclusive environment that fosters independent thinking and decision-making. Thirdly, providing full support to their decision-making abilities and fourthly, creating a conducive climate for self-learning and self-improvement.

The Lieutenant Governor also paid homage to Dr. R.R. Khajuria, founder of J&K Samaj Kalyan Kendra and commended all the members of the organisation for their selfless service to society.He assured the J&K Samaj Kalyan Kendra of every possible support and assistance for the smooth functioning of the school. He called upon the corporate houses, business community, and citizens to come forward and contribute to this noble endeavour.

Moreover, the Lieutenant Governor appreciated the children with special abilities for presenting enthralling performances to mark the occasion.

However, Sinha also claimed that several forces, both abroad and in India, are attempting to hinder the country progress. He stated that certain elements have conspired against us, but no power can stop our march toward a developed India.

India will emerge more powerful defeating the challenges and hurdles created by certain elements. No one can stop our rise, said the Lieutenant Governor.

Meanwhile, the 45th Foundation Day of the J&K Samaj Kalyan Kendra School for the hearing impaired in Jammu was also attended by K.B. Jandial, President, J&K Samaj Kalyan Kendra; Dr Rakesh Khajuria, Vice President; J.K. Vaidya, General Secretary, and other members of J&K Samaj Kalyan Kendra, special educators, and students were present. Dr Ashok Bhan, Ms Gunjan Rana, and Suresh Kumar Sharma, members of the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board; Shri Ramesh Kumar, Divisional Commissioner, Jammu; B.R. Sharma, Chairman, Indian Institute of Public Administration, J&K and senior officers also attended the foundation day ceremony. (ANI)
