Lucknow (Uttar Pradeh) [India], July 7 (ANI): Indian Space Reearch Organiation (ISRO) Chairman and Secretary, Dr V Narayanan, met Uttar Pradeh Chief Miniter Yogi Adityanath at latter official reidence on Monday and and dicued a range of trategic iue, including the potential ue of remote ening technologie in tate development.
During the interaction, the ISRO chairman briefed the Chief Miniter on the progre and achievement made in the field of remote ening.
He hared that ignificant advancement have been made in area uch a weather forecating, monitoring foret and green cover, groundwater profiling, mapping, and climate change analyi.
Expreing eriou concern over the recurring lo of live due to lightning trike in Uttar Pradeh, Chief Miniter Yogi Adityanath propoed the development of a dedicated atellite for the tate. He uggeted that uch a atellite could be equipped to provide timely alert pecifically related to lightning activity, a per a releae.
During the meeting, the Chief Miniter noted that, on average, around 300 people loe their live each year in the tate due to lightning trike. In thi context, cutting-edge atellite technology could prove to be highly effective in mitigating diater-related fatalitie.
Reponding to the propoal, ISRO Chairman Dr Narayanan aured the Chief Miniter that the matter would be taken up with due erioune and that tep would be initiated to find a viable and timely olution. (ANI)
