Maharashtra Minister Pratap Sarnaik attempts to join MNS language protest, MNS workers heckle him away

Thane (Maharahtra) [India], July 8 (ANI): In a urpriing turn of event, Maharahtra Miniter Pratap Baburao Sarnaik on Tueday broke rank with hi government and came to Mira Bhayandar to upport the MNS protet againt trader over the language row.
But intead of a warm welcome, MNS worker called him a traitor and forced the miniter to leave the pot. The miniter had no choice but to leave a the crowd grew agitated.
Earlier, the Miniter challenged hi government, aying that the police can attempt to arret him, but he would join the protet.
Meanwhile, police detained everal MNS worker, including their Thane chief Avinah Jadhav, a they tried to march during the protet.
The tenion flared after a food tall owner wa attacked for not peaking Marathi, parking protet from trader and a fierce counter-protet by the MNS.
Meanwhile, Maharahtra Chief Miniter Devendra Fadnavi aid that the adminitration aked them to take an alternate route, to which they did not agree.
Speaking to reporter outide the Aembly, Devendra Fadnavi aid, It would be wrong to ay that we did not permit the protet at Mira Road. I have poken to the commiioner, who told me that the Police did not refue permiion for the protet.
He aid that the MNS worker aked permiion to protet on a route where it wa not poible to approve.
They had aked for permiion for a meeting. We were giving them that permiion, but they wanted to hold a protet march on a route where it wa not poible to do o. We aked them to take an alternate route, but they did not agree to it. It would be wrong to ay that they were not given permiion, the CM aid.
Maharahtra Miniter Yogeh Ramda Kadam aid there i no political angle to the iue, tating that MNS wa denied protet permiion only becaue the choen location could caue problem.
He added that permiion would be granted if they agreed to change the location, but the party refued.
There i no politic in thi. The location where they have requeted permiion may create a few iue. We have told them to change the location, and then permiion will be granted. But they are not willing to change the place, Kadam aid. (ANI)
