Raigad (Maharahtra) [India], July 8 (ANI): Maharahtra miniter Yogeh Kadam on Tueday aid that a upiciou Pakitan buoy, which wa potted in Indian water near the Revdanda coat in Maharahtra Raigad, a day ago, did not have anybody onboard, adding that an inquiry ha been initiated in the matter.

Maharahtra Police tightened ecurity along the Raigad coatline after being informed by the India Coat Guard on July 6 that a upiciou object wa potted near the Korlai coat in the juridiction of Raigad ditrict police.
The ecurity care came after the Indian Coat Guard Security in New Delhi alerted the Coat Guard in Murud that a Pakitani boat named Muqadar Boya 99 wa potted approximately 2.5 to 3 nautical mile in the Arabian Sea offhore near the Korlai coat, the Raigad ditrict police aid in a tatement.
Following the alert, team from Raigad Police, Bomb Detection and Dipoal Squad (BDDS), Quick Repone Team (QRT), the Navy and the Coat Guard ruhed to the pot.

Upon receiving the intel, the Superintendent of Police (SP) along with Additional SP, Sub-Diviional Police Officer (SDPO), and other related officer ruhed to the given coordinate without delay, the Raigad Police aid.
A total of 19 armed checkpoint were etablihed acro all police tation area in the ditrict, epecially along the coatal and creek region. Supiciou vehicle and peron were thoroughly checked. Searche were alo conducted in all hotel, lodge, and reort in the ditrict, police aid.
With coordination from the Indian Coat Guard, earch operation were carried out in the ea uing their veel. Further, police aid that coordination wa alo done with the Indian Navy, Cutom, Maharahtra Maritime Board, and Fiherie Department to gather more information and intenify the earch for the upiciou boat.
Drone urveillance wa conducted in the Korlai coatal area by the Fiherie and Foret Department of Alibag and marine patrolling wa increaed with the Coat Guard alo conducted aerial urveillance uing helicopter ,Raigad Police aid.
Raigad Police alo deployed 52 officer and 554 contable in variou team actively participating in earch operation and to prevent any poible infiltration and abotage through the ea route.
Alongide, Navi Mumbai Police Commiionerate wa alerted and intructed to increae vigilance and conduct thorough check. Neighbouring ditrict police unit were alo warned, police aid in the tatement.
Meanwhile, Raigad Police aid that a per information received, the upiciou object potted in Indian water i likely a fihing net buoy fitted with a GPS tracker, ued to prevent net from inking and to eae retrieval.
The Indian Coat Guard reported that the object- upected a a boat tranponder or buoy with AIS (Automatic Identification Sytem) tranponder--likely drifted into Indian water due to ea current.
According to the Police, a imilar incident had occured earlier on January 3, thi year when a imilar buoy wa found in Gujarat Okha. (ANI)
